If you're applying to work with a nursing agency in NSW, it's important to have the right nursing agency certificates and clearances in place. At Nursing Solutions Group, we’re committed to safety, compliance, and high-quality care. That starts with making sure our team has the right certificates and clearances from day one.

Here’s a quick breakdown of what you’ll need before your first shift - and how to get them.
Mandatory Nursing Agency Certificates (All Roles)
These are required for every applicant, regardless of role:
National Police Check – Must be current and from an accredited provider
Working With Children Check (WWCC) – Especially important if you work with younger participants
NDIS Worker Screening Check – Required for anyone providing NDIS-funded support
First Aid & CPR – HLTAID011 & HLTAID009 (most agencies require both)
Proof of COVID-19 & Influenza Vaccination – Especially for aged care or vulnerable participants
Working Rights in Australia (VISA) - If applicable
Tip: Include these in your resume with issue/expiry dates
Role-Specific Extras
Depending on your role, you may also need:
For Registered Nurses (RNs) and Enrolled Nurses (ENs):
Current AHPRA Registration
Evidence of recent professional development or training
For Support Workers & Carers (CSE / AIN):
Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or Aged Care
Valid Driver's Licence + Comprehensive Car Insurance (if using own car)
How to Stay Job-Ready
Store your certificates digitally (PDF or screenshot) so they’re easy to submit
Use reminder tools (e.g. Google Calendar) for certificate renewal dates
Let NSG know if anything changes (e.g. new police check or expired CPR)
Conclusion
Having the right certificates isn’t just a formality - it’s what allows us to provide safe, trustworthy care across the Illawarra and Shoalhaven Regions and beyond. If you're unsure about a requirement or need support applying for checks, we're here to help.
