EMPOWERING SUPPORT WORKERS WITH SKILLS FOR COMPLEX CARE
DIABETES CARE
This course trains support workers to safely assist with BGLs, insulin pen injections and diabetes management. It covers infection control, equipment use, blood glucose monitoring, and recognising health complications. Participants will also learn to document care, follow the NDIS Code of Conduct, and collaborate with health practitioners for personalised support.

ENTERAL FEEDING SUPPORT
This course trains support workers in safe, effective enteral feeding aligned with NDIS Practice Standards. It covers support plans, feeding techniques, infection control, equipment use, medication administration, and monitoring for complications. Students will gain the skills to provide high-quality, person-centred care.


URINARY CATHETER CARE
This course trains support workers in safe, effective urinary catheter care aligned with NDIS Practice Standards. The course covers key areas such as communication preferences, the correct use of catheters, hygiene practices, and handling complications like infections or dislodged catheters. Support Workers will also be trained on the safe handling of equipment, ensuring participant comfort and safety, and monitoring urinary output.

PRESURE CARE AND WOUND MANAGEMENT
This course provides support workers with the skills to deliver safe and effective complex wound care according to NDIS Practice Standards. Participants will learn to implement support plans, assess care needs, and collaborate with healthcare professionals. The course covers communication, infection control, wound care equipment, and managing skin integrity, preventing pressure injuries, and monitoring wound healing.
DYSPHAGIA
This course equips support workers to support individuals with dysphagia in line with NDIS high-intensity standards. It covers assessment, safe feeding, care plans, and mealtime management. Participants will learn to identify needs, communicate effectively, and collaborate with families and professionals to ensure safe, dignified care.

PALLIATIVE
This course equips workers with the principles of palliative care, focusing on symptom management, emotional support, and quality of life for those with life-limiting conditions. It covers communication, ethical considerations, and end-of-life planning, ensuring compassionate, person-centred care.


COMPLEX BOWEL CARE
This course equips support workers with the skills to provide safe, high-quality bowel care in line with NDIS Practice Standards. It covers communication strategies, hygiene, infection control, stoma management, laxatives, enemas, and abdominal massage. Participants will learn to monitor health, identify issues, and collaborate with health practitioners to ensure dignified, effective care.
